Last year UK Regulators Network published a leaflet on free support services available across regulated sectors, to consumers in vulnerable circumstances.

Good quality, up to date information is crucial in order for energy and water companies to provide effective support to consumers in vulnerable circumstances.

The UK Regulators Network, Ofgem and Ofwat having been exploring how to better identify consumers in vulnerable circumstances within the energy and water sectors. We are interested in how improving the sharing of information across the two sectors – where it is targeted and proportionate – could address this and what the benefits, opportunities and challenges could be.
